WENGER THINKS THE INJURY TO IMPORTANT ARSENAL PLAYER IS “SERIOUS”

Arsenal managed to gather three points yesterday in an important Premier League tie when anything less than 3 points could have cost them their top league position. Carlton Cole fired Hammers upfront in the start of the second half and it looked like that Arsenal are all set for a disappointing boxing day result but they didn’t lose their cool and manage to win convincingly at the end.

Aaron Ramsey, despite a recent dip in form, has been in incredible form for The Gunners this season. Unfortunately they might be about to go a sizeable state of time without his services – after he picked up an injury on his 23rd birthday.
The Welshman, who has been the Arsenal team’s player of the month since May, has been full of fitness in recent months but he suffered a thigh strain in today’s game – and Arsene Wenger is unsure of when he will be back.

Wenger said, “He knew straight away but we have to see. It looks [serious]. It looks like a thigh strain. I don’t know how serious the thigh strain is but the Christmas period certainly is over for him. It was his birthday today. I don’t know how long. We will see tomorrow morning.”
