Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes that the title race is still not over and his side could move up if they defeat Manchester City.
The North Londoners will face Manchester City at the Emirates on Sunday where the hosts enjoy a six-game unbeaten record in the league.
Considering last season, anything is possible in the Barclays at this time and Arsene Wenger wants his tem to stay prepared for the rest of the season.
“First we have to get close, and for us to get closer we have to win these kinds of games or we have no chance at all,” the manager said.
“At the moment, it looks unlikely but we do not have to give up. We want to fight to get closer and then hope we still have a chance. We are still trying to shorten the distance between us and the top [of the table].
“It is still very open. When you watch the games, no team goes into a Premier League match and is sure to win it. Therefore I believe every team can drop points.
“It is much more open than people think it is. You see Manchester United; they win their games because they score many goals, but it is difficult for everybody.”
Arsenal ended in the top four last season and easily qualified for the Champions League. They are to face Bayern Munich is the Round of 16.
