West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has admitted that he fears losing Mohamed Diame in January. Both the North London teams, Arsenal and Tottenham, are interested in signing him.
It has been rumoured that Arsenal are looking forward to signing the defensive midfielder after he apparently angered his boss by getting late for a team meeting. Arsenal were apparently on guard trying to sign him. However, Tottenham also seem interested in the former Wigan player.
Sam Allardyce had rejected the news earlier this month that Diame would be moving to the Emirates , but he now admits that he is confused considering the player’s status. Allardyce admits that he is feeling suspicious that Diame could exit Upton Park during the last three days of the transfer window.
Allardyce spoke on this matter at his press conference today and said, “It is total confusion. I’m as confused as anyone. We might lose him. I hope we don’t.”
