UEFA Champions league group stages

Last night  the groups for the new season of UEFA champions league were announced in which many shocking outcomes were depicted .Lets analyse every  UEFA group and the teams allocated in those  groups individually.

Group A   

A simple group with no big names except PSG .The teams allocated in this group are

• Porto
• PSG
• Dynamo Kiev
•  Dinamo Zagreb

Porto are the most seasoned campaigners of this league and they even have won this UEFA  champions league  twice in 1987 and 2004 while the big money fish PSG are considered favorites  after their spending spree and with Carlo Ancelotti on their side you can expect a cracker from them.

Group B   

A very strong group with big names .The teams allocated here are

• Arsenal
• Schalke
• Olympiacos
• MONTPELLIER

Arsenal at the moment are not wining big but the history tells us that they always get through their group stages quite handsomely.On the other hand Schalke who two seasons back were the semi finalist of Champions league will try their best to repeat the magical performances .

Group C 

No big names except AC Milan.The teams of this groups are

• AC Milan
• ANDERLECHT
• MALAGA
• ZENIT

Its an easy group for AC Milan and we hope  that they  qualify for the last 16 without any hitch but intesrting thing to ponder is that Malaga who for the first time has qualified for this glory stage  will try to get maximum out of it

Group D  

I don’t know why but I think this competition is always hard for  Manchester City .Last year they were shoved in a tough group  comprising Bayen Munich  ,Valencia and Napoli and now this  year they are again shoved in a group of death .Yes people group D is the group of death ,lets see the teams of it

• Real Madrid
• Manchester city
• Ajax
• Dortmund

This group is called  the group of champions . Real Madrid are the Spanish Champions and  9 time holder of this UEFA champions league trophy  while Ajax currently are the dutch champions  and   four-time European Cup winners . Dortmund are the German champions.Last year they faced an early exit in the group stage but this year they will try their best to progress ahead.

Group E  

Contain two big names in the form of current European champions Chelsea and Italian Champions Javentus .The group E is

• Chelsea
• Javentus
• SHAKHTAR DONETSK
• NORDSJAELLAND

Group F

A very strong group which has last year finalist Bayen Munich .The whole group comprises of

• Bayen Munich
• Valencia
• Lyon
• Bate

Last year Valencia was knocked out at the group stages and it was Bayen Munich who played a major role in it.So,this time Valencia will be looking for some redemption .

Group G 

• Barcelona
• Celtic
• Benfica
• SPARTAK MOSCOW
