Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, who plays for Arsenal, is hoping to get an opportunity to play more matches for England following his debut performance in the Euro 2012. He made his debut for England on 26th May 2012 in a warm up game winning 1-0 against Norway coming as a substitute for Ashley Young.

Oxlade Chamberlain is a prodigy which Arsene Wenger snapped earlier and Ox has received lots of appraisals since he moved from Southampton to Arsenal last year. The winger has scored 4 goals and made 3 assists in his 26 appearances for Arsenal last season.

“I enjoyed every minute of it, it was amazing for me,” Oxlade-Chamberlain told Arsenal Player. “I have come such a long way – from last season’s pre-season to going away with England in a massive tournament this year.

Chamberlain is looking forward to play in the World Cup 2014. “The next tournament coming up is Brazil in 2014 but first and foremost I need to concentrate on Arsenal. But on the international stage I need to keep impressing the manager,” he said.

Oxlade Chamberlain, who is a part of Arsenal’s team in the pre season tour, said “To get back into training, see the boys and play football again – I just can’t wait for it.” Arsenal who are having problems with Van Persie’s contract are depending a lot on their young guns including the two new signings.
