Past few weeks several reports have been linking Arsenal to a midfield enforcer. Firstly it was Cesc Fabregas then later on the Gunners were linked to Verrati. Not to forget the continuous reports of Arsenal being linked to Manchester United’s academy graduate Paul Pogba.
In the Premier League this season Southampton’s success and good performances have impressed many critics all down to the consistency of Adam Lallana, Morgan Schneiderlin and Luke Shaw. No wonder Arsenal are now linked with Schneiderlin who gave a tough time to Yaya Toure in a PL contest between City and Southampton.
The French international has been hugely impressive at the heart of the Saints midfield over the past two years and he’s tipped to make a move to one of the Premier League’s ‘big boys’ this summer.
Arsenal have been strongly linked with a move for the 24-year-old in recent months with Arsene Wenger believed to have sent scouts to watch him in action, while Manchester United have also been credited with an interest in the £15m-rated midfielder.
Schneiderlin was quizzed about the interest being shown in him and while he admitted he’s aware of ‘top teams’ watching him, he insists he won’t force a move unless Southampton are willing to sell.
