Another striker who could be well on his way to North London is on Arsene Wenger’s radar. This shows that Wenger is really giving thoughts of adding up to his fire power upfront specially when an injury to Giroud can flush all the hard work which got Gunners the first berth in the Premier League top flight.

Arsenal’s chief scout Steve Rowley is also expected to attend the Barcelona-Elche game to assess the long-term prospects of the highly-rated Juventus owned player.

”Boakye-Yiadom has a massive future,” said the A-League agent told on condition of remaining anonymous.

”He made notice after scoring against Real Madrid.  I was informed by somebody high up in the club [Real Madrid] that a senior scout has been designated to watch him against Barcelona. There is belief in La Liga that Richmond [Boakye-Yiadom] is a would-be great striker because he is quick, disciplined and a great goal scorer. My friend in the Emirates [Arsenal] told me that Rowley has been asked by the club to watch Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa and Elche striker Boakye-Yiadom on Saturday and Sunday respectively.’’

Boakye-Yiadom has scored three La Liga goals but the 20-year old is tipped to reach double numbers.
