With Arsenal fans displaying posters of “spend Arsene spend” in the Aston Villa game, it is finally understood that Arsene Wenger is now ready to reply back his critics with a smashing £35 million bid swoop for two of the Swansea’s best players. Reports in London have suggested that Arsenal’s primary targets are Ashley Williams and the surprise package of last year, Michu.
We have heard before that Arsenal’s interest in Ashley Williams is true before as well, but this time it will be more necessary as Gunners are left with only four defenders after last games’ injury concerns and Koscielny’s suspension.
Arsenal’s primary concern also includes a goal scorer upfront as they have lost out on different strikers and now they have stepped up their pursuit of the surprise package of last year, Michu who has also caught the eye after a sensational first Premier League season in which he scored 18 goals.
According to the London Evening Standard, that has prompted the Frenchman to prepare a move for two of Swansea’s star performers from last season.
Michu scored 22 goals during his first season in England last term, while Williams, who is valued in the region of £10m, is a long-term favourite of the Gunners boss
