Manchester United legend Sir Bobby Charlton has spoken ahead of United’s clash with Real Madrid. He believes that there is no one like Cristiano Ronaldo in the entire Madrid squad.
“Madrid and their players have a great reputation but there is no one like Cristiano.
“I have to admit, we did not want him to leave here. Real Madrid came in and it seemed to be the ideal place for him. He said he wanted to be the most important player in the world and now he is.
“We (United) have to find a way to stop him. We tried our best and had some success in Madrid.”
He was also questioned that what is it about Ronaldo that he admires, to which he replied, “When you see Cristiano, you know the first thing he thinks when he gets the ball is ‘I can score!’ He doesn’t think of anything else.
“Generally, you can assume that his peers think he’s annoying, but it’s not like that. Everyone loves it when he scores. And right now, he is scoring goals every week.”
Ronaldo will return to Manchester to play against his former club for the first time since he left in 2009, and it is assumed that his comeback will be an epic one.
