The most awaited transfer of this transfer market has suddenly took a U turn as Schalke General Manager has played down the talks of a potential Draxler move to the Premier League leaders.
The statement was given by Horst Heldt after the away win over Hamburger SV that supported the earlier statement of Arsene Wenger rejecting the move of German sensation to the Premier League title-contenders.
He said, “You should ask Mr Wenger, call him. There’s no contact with Arsenal or any other club, I cannot exclude the option we will sign Cristiano Ronaldo. I don’t need to talk about this. I understand why you are asking the question but all the topics you mention need to be addressed in London.”
Despite the constant rejection from the authorities of both the clubs, the English newspapers are adamant on the point that Draxler will complete his move to the London club by the end of the transfer window.
The youth product of Schalke has been chased earlier by Wenger in Summer transfer window, but the club’s record signing meant the club could not afford to buy Draxler.
