Arsenal fans were excited by the news of Liverpool star striker Luis Suarez being spotted at Arsenal Stadium the other day. There were whole lot of speculation surrounding Liverpool’s star striker and Arsenal last summer transfer window when Arsene Wenger lodged in a bid of 40m and plus. Arsenal’s interest in the star striker was genuine as there were quotes of admiration by Arsene Wenger for Suarez who in current form definitely drops in the top 3 players of the world.
Pictures of the star wandering around the famous Arsenal ground could spark off rumours of a transfer to the Gunners but in this instance, it’s nothing but mere chance that has brought Suarez to the 60,000-seater stadium. Wenger claimed the Reds star would be a dream to work with, hinting that he is still interested in reigniting his interest in the future.
Wenger told Telefoot, “I think that every defender in England hates playing against him. He has a strong, provocative personality. From the information I gathered on him it appears that on a day-to-day level he is really easy to work with.”
Arsene Wenger was desperate to sign the Uruguayan but John W Henry rejected any bids for the player and made him stay at Liverpool. Eventually, Gunners ended up signing another quality player in Mesut Ozil for almost the same amount they wanted Suarez for.
