Injury crisis has now become a curse for Manchester United as each of the players has to suffer from it at some time. Nani substituted Kagawa against SC Braga in the second half as Kagawa injured his knee.
Kagawa, who was signed from Borussia Dortmund this summer, will not play against Chelsea in their clash with United this weekend. The clash might (and hopefully will) change the top of the table position of Chelsea.
SAF has said that Kagawa will be out for three to four weeks as his injury is like that of Ashley Young’s.
“It’s a knee injury similar to the one Ashley Young had but not as bad,” The Boss told manutd.com. “I think playing on with the injury did not help the situation for him, even though he did well to play on with it. It’s disappointing for him.”
However, the good news is that Phil Jones and Chris Smalling are nearing to their return.
“Smalling is back training on the football side of things,” added Sir Alex. “Phil Jones will hopefully start full training a week on Monday so things are getting better on that front.
“Certainly getting Smalling back is a big bonus for us. Other than that, everyone else is available for Sunday’s game.”
Hopefully, this is to reduce Alex’s injury headache.
