The Telegraphy has made a shocking revelation today claiming that Arsenal are planning to go on a ‘spending spree’ that will get them 5 star players at the club, with the spending exceeding £80million in the last eight days of the transfer period..
The first player is Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema. Arsenal are in great need of a striker after their attempts to lure Stevan Jovetic, Wayne Rooney, Luis Suarez and Gonzalo Higuain failed. If Arsenal are planning to land him – and are seriously pursuing him – they can land him for £40million.
Though Madrid have recently sold one of their strikers, it has been reported that the Madristas are planning to give their young talented striker Álvaro Morata a more important role. Also, Madrid could go on to get Suarez in place of Benzema.
Another player on Arsenal’s radar is Newcastle United’ Cabaye. Arsenal had initially put forward a £10million bid, but Newcastle rejected it immediately. However, the French manager seems determined to get the player.
The third star player is Di Maria, who is apparently available if the right offer comes in for him. Reorts suggested that he was being offered to Spurs in the deal for Gareth Bale. Though the player is very talented, he will be a threat to Lukas Podolski.
The fourth player will be a goalkeeper though three keepers are being linked with them. Valencia’s Vicente Guaita, Stoke City’s Asmir Begovic and QPR’s Julio Cesar are the Gunners option, with Guaita being the most preferred on, available for around £10million.
Flamini is also on the Gunners’ radar. He seems likely because he has been training with Arsenal since his contract with AC Milan expired. He was an ex-Gunner and left Arsenal on a free transfer to Milan.
