Bayern Munich’s midfielder Arjen Robben has claimed that Persie’s move to United was not very surprising for him. He believes that his qualities and talent along with focus had led him to exit Arsenal and join a club where he could earn trophies.
“I cannot say I’m surprised, because I know him and his qualities. You have to show your qualities. Not once or twice, but always.
The important thing is that he is focused and knows what he wants,” said the Dutch winger.
“For the true Arsenal supporters it was obviously very disappointing that he left the club.”
“But on the other hand you should understand his choice. He would also like to win prizes. At Arsenal it is currently very difficult.”
Yes we all know that great players need great teams,Arsenal is one of the great teams in the world but foot ball wise we have to bear in mind that one is not considered a great player just because he has played for big clubs, i think it depends on the achievements that makes history, i think it was more than a right decision for Van Persie to quit the London side.Like Arjen Robben quoted it was no surprise that Persie joined the Red Devils but he rather wanted the side where he would make history like any other players.
