The appearance of Max Meyer at the German club could soften the situation amongst Arsenal target Julian Draxler to leave the club during the next year summer transfer window.
The 18-year-old was praised by Schalke general manager as the ‘best player on the pitch’ for his wonderful show in their German Cup win, and head coach Jens Keller has assured that Meyer will continue to be played amongst the first-team.

With Meyer in the squad, Schalke will be in a more comfortable position if Draxler is to leave the club. Arsenal have been credited with interest in Draxler since early 2012, although are yet to have made a formal approach for the 20-year-old
