As the transfer window is moving swiftly with only 2 weeks left, Arsenal have accelerated their pursuit and are now looking more active in the window. According to Tutto Mercato Web and Fox Sports, Arsenal have been wanting to land the Juanfran from Atletico Madrid, who is a product of Real Madrid’s academy and also has represented the Los Blancos.
Boss Arsene Wenger is said to be keen on bringing in a right-sided defender before the window closes and Richard’s is seen as the perfect candidate. With Arsenal very short of defensive options, as they have offloaded 17 players, this move seems to be necessary for The Gunners.
Mirror have also claimed that interest in Juanfran by the Arsenal scouts is serious and they are looking to add upto their defensive options. Juanfran is naturally a Right Back but can also operate in the midfield. Arsenal are in need of versatile players at the moment, as they have bad injury concerns to deal with.
