Real Madrid have reportedly bid a €6m offer for Manchester United’s transfer target Alen Halilovic. The sources claim that their bid has been rejected. No further information about Mourinho’s second bid have been yet received but he might be an additional feather to Real Madrid’s hat.

Accroding to the reports from Italy, Dinamo Zagreb refused Real Madrid’s opening offer for the 16 year old kid. Halilovic is often referred to as the ‘next Messi’ after he became the youngest scorer for his club earlier this month. However, the Croation wonderkid hasruled out such comparisions.

The teenage central midfielder has also been compared to Luka Modric who is Madrid’s latest signing. The former-Tottenham midfielder developed through the youth system at Zagreb, just like Halilovic. Mourinho has believed that he really wants to see this star at the Bernabeu.

However, Manchester United’s boss Alex Ferguson has also been showing interest in the youngster. Ferguson had been interested in Modric and after letting him go to Madrid, he might not let Real Madrid take away his next target.

Manchester United have had a good record of bringing youngsters to their youth academy and developing them. However, there have been exceptions like Paul Pogba and Ravel Morrison but the both are still struggling with their careers.

Manchester United will next face Stoke City and are currently on the second position at the table. Roberto de Mateo’s Chelsea is four points ahead of the 19 times title winners.
