Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger joked at his press conference today that Beckham’s move to Paris Saint-Germain proves that Arsenal training sessions are exceptional.

David Beckham had been training with Arsenal to maintain his fitness.

“It just shows how effective our training is,” Wenger joked. “He trained here once and is bought by PSG!”

Wenger had previously ruled out the any speculation linking the former England captain to the North Londoners. Beckham had admitted that he would never play for any other Premier League side because of his link with Manchester United, which he left in 2003.

“I’ve been successful with Manchester United and have always said I would never want to play for another English club,” Beckham said. “I’ve a lot of history with Manchester United. They were the team I supported and dreamed of playing for.

“I was honored by the other offers I’ve had from other Premier League teams. I’m very lucky. I’m 37 years old and was offered a lot of offers, more now than I’ve had in my career, and at my age.

“But unless it was Manchester United, I wouldn’t want to play for any other Premier League team. I couldn’t do it.”

Beckham has signed a five-month deal with PSG and he will donate his £150,000 wages to a children charity in Paris. Also, he will play under the coach Carlo Ancelotti. Ancelotti was the manager of AC Milan when Beckham went there on loan.
