Pep Guardiola’s move to Bayern Munich has not only shocked football fans but also managers. Sir Alex Ferguson least expected this move to take place and it did.
There was no big club in the world which had not been linked with Pep Guardiola, including clubs like Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United, as he had declared that he would now like to return to football.
However, the former Barcelona manager shocked the world when he chose to manage the German giants Bayern Munich next season.
“I am surprised because I didn’t see it coming,” said Sir Alex Ferguson.
“All the time the speculation was about clubs in England.”
Despite the shock, Sir Alex Ferguson does not disagree with Guardiola’s move as he understands why a man of his caliber moved to Germany.
“If you assess it as a coach, Bayern Munich is hard to turn down because they are one of the best run clubs in Europe,” the Scott added.
“They have a fantastic city, a fantastic stadium, good players and good history.
“The place is loaded with players who made the club’s history.
“You have Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Uli Hoeness, Gerd Muller and, I think, Sepp Maier. And I’m not sure what role Franz Beckenbauer has now either.
“They have always been that way.
“With all these aspects, it is very easy to choose Bayern Munich.”
A lot of eyes will be looking forward to what Pep Guardiola would do to Bayern Munich and how their players would react to this move.
