Although Sir Alex was one of the greatest managers in the world but he had his share of blunders in his tenure and of the biggest was to let Paul Pogba leave for free. The French young gun is termed as one of the best young talents in the world. Juventus managed a masterstroke landing him for free and he is giving Marchisio a run for his money for the starting place.
Arsenal were linked to him and there is a debate that had Arsenal managed to react in the right time they might have signed Paul Pogba.
The French midfielder, who has just been crowned the best young player in Europe, insists that he’s happy with Serie A league leaders Juve, but admits he has a special place in his heart for the North Londoners.
Speaking to Republica in Italy, Pogba said: ‘At Juventus I’m doing fine. I don’t hide the fact that as a child I dreamed of playing for Arsenal and FC Barcelona.’
The former Manchester United youngster added: ‘Ferguson said “Don’t go to Italy, [there's] too much racism, you’ll be hurt.”’
‘[With] regards to racism, no [country] is immune. Not even England. As shown by John Terry and Luis Suarez who shouted at [Patrice] Evra seven times. Even our fans do not understand that when you insult an opponent for the color of their skin, it hurts me too.’
