Fantastic news for the Gunners, as Sky Sports have just reported that Newcastle’s playmaker Yohan Cabaye is keen on a move to Ashburton Grove. Although, The Magpies have warned Cabaye that he should wait for a much improve offer before the move goes through.
Newcastle understand that £10million bid a few days back for their best midfielder was an insult to the club and as well as to the player. They consider that the bid was only made to placate fuming Arsenal fans who are demanding Arsenal to spend more money, while Alan Pardew thinks the bid was made to unsettle the player due to which Cabaye couldn’t participate in Newcastle’s premier league game which they lost.
Sky sources understand that the Cabaye is seriously attracted to the thought of playing for a Champions League club which is making him force a move to the Emirates. It is understood that Arsenal would need to offer between £18-20 million before Newcastle would be tempted to do business.
Alan Pardew has blamed his loss to Arsenal’s untimely bid and in an interview he said, “We’ve prepared with the lad for three days and then for him to have his head turned by this bid from Arsenal on the eve of the game is just disrespectful. From my view, why it couldn’t have waited until tomorrow morning, I do not know. I don’t think the result would have been the same if he had played.”
