Emiliano Viviano has cleared his medical at the London Colney training ground, and he has completed his deal with Arsenal according to Goal.com. The goalkeeper has joined Arsenal on a season-long loan.
The player flew from Italy last night and immediately had hos medical first, and though the keeper has a history of knee trouble, he has cleared the medical.
Arsenal will get an option to buy him after the end of his first season. The keeper was previously at loan at the Serie A side Fiorentina, but the Italian side did not have the option to buy him.
The Gunners will pay a ‘substantial’ loan fee for the keeper as Goal.com has revealed.
The player is expected to be registered with the Gunners before the transfer window closes tonight.
Arsene Wenger was linked to a number of goalkeepers like QPR’s Julio Cesar, Real Madrid’s Iker Casillas, Valenica’s Vincent Guaita, Stoke’s Asmir Begovic etc. but he failed at signing them and thus will sign Viviano now.
