The Daily Mail has claimed that Manchester United will be making a formal bid for Wilfried Zaha in the next two days. However, United are expected to offer only £6 million, instead of a big offer.
The 19-times title winners are confident that they will get their hands on Zaha and that explains why they have offered so low for the England winger.
Crystal Palace’ co-owner Steve Parish had originally wanted £20 million for the 20-year-old.
However, it is stated that United will not be offering them any more than £12 million, and the deal might include performance related bonuses.
It is also said that United would not like the bid to exceed £8 million and they will make sure that this does not happen when they try to land this winger/striker.
Also, Daily Mail understands that United will not pay the fee right away and it will be paying only half of it when they will get their hands on him. The remaining will be paid throughout Zaha’s contract.
United will also be ready to loan him back to Crystal Palace for the rest of the season. They could also send some other player, along with Zaha, to Palace on loan, as a part of the Zaha deal.
Arsenal could be affected by this move as the North Londoners really want to sign him as well. There could be some competition for Manchester United her.
Wilfried Zaha is originally an Arsenal fan and it will not be easy for him to reject a transfer move to the Emirates.
