Manchester United are planning to make the first move to sign Crystal Palace’s magical Wilfried Zaha with a deal that would let him stay at his club until the end of his season.
Sir Alex Ferguson is assumed to be a big fan of him and he has been monitoring his progress for several months. United had supposedly sent a scout to watch his side take over Leicester on October 27th.
All the major Barclays Premier League teams: Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham are considering to sign this wonderkid who is making his debut for England against Sweden this Wednesday.
It is believed that Palace would not be ready to give up Saha this January as they are at the top of the table in the Championship and might get promoted. However, Sir Alex wants to ensure that he can get his hands on him before anyone else takes him away.
Zaha has signed a contract with Palace till 2012 and Palace’s co-chairman Steve Parish has said that he would only let him go for prices above £20 million but it is more likely that his offers would start from £10 million.
It might be interesting to note that this by is an Arsenal fan and the Gunners’ chief scout is a huge fan of him.
Zaha has made 107 appearances for Palace until now and he had debuted at a tender age of 17. He will be a great addition to any scout he joins and United would be more interested in signing him as they are looking for a replacement for Luis Nani.
