Manchester United will be looking forward to negotiating one of the biggest ever sponsorship deals with Nike as they will renew their contract over the Old Trafford kit supply in February.
The thirteen-year Nike deal with United will expire in 2015 which was worth £303million including profit share on sales.
United’s chief of staff Ed Woodward is hoping to receive a ‘major increase’ from Nike,
They will have six months to negotiate with United. However, Woodward has not indicated the total amount that United wish to receive.
They would be keen on reminding Nike that they have increased their sponsorship almost six time more from Vodafone’s £8 million to Chevrolet’s £52 million. Chevrolet’s contract beigns in 2014-15 season.
These money figures could rise to even £1 billion if Nike agrees.
