Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye has openly admitted that if the French powerhouses Paris Saint-Germain ever came calling for him, it would be very hard to reject them. the French midfielder is heavily linked to United and Arsenal.
The North Londoners apparently tried to sign him last summer when Wenger put forward a bid of £10m while PSG made no solid offer. The bid was rejected right away.
Perhaps the biggest reason why Cabaye wants to play at PSG is the presence of his former national coach Laurent Blanc, but he has insisted that the French champions have made no offer – neither last summer and not even now.
He told BeIN Sport: “Contact with PSG? Not to my knowledge.
“I know that in January the rumours will start all over again. I’d like to know who does not want to play for Paris Saint-Germain today?
“I feel very good, I want it to be a big season, to try to finish as high as possible [with Newcastle] while thinking about the World Cup next summer.”
Newcastle boss Alan Pardew was full of praise for Cabaye after their 1-0 victory at Old Trafford over the former Champions Manchester United that happened because of Cabaye’s goal.
