Manchester United’s European scout Martin Ferguson was spotted watching Rayo Vallecano youngsters just one day after they were spotted at Madrid.
Sir Alex Ferguson’s brother was seen in the stands where United’s Champion League’s opponents played against Real Sociedad. Real Madrid’s goalkeeper Adan received a red card and Madrid struggled to win 4-3.
Then, Martin Ferguson watched the match between Rayo and Getafe – the minor Madrid derby – which Rayo won 3-1 impressively.
But it was not only Ferguson who was there – many other English scouts were present watching over Rayo’s players, specially Lassana Bangoura and Leo Baptistao.
Guinea International Bangoura scored an impressive opening goal whereas Brazillian Baptistao assisted the final goal of the match. It is assumed that both the players greatly impressed the scouts as their moved up to seventh position in the La Liga.
Leo Baptistao is understood to be a hotter prospect as he has scored six goals from 16 appearances. Baptistao recently began to play first team football, as the Brazillian picked up an illness and injury on the start of his Spanish career.
Atletico Madrid are also looking to sign him when it was rumoured that they were willing to pay €6 million last week. However, the deal has not been finalised till now.
Martin might also be seen at the Bernabeu again when Madrid will play their second leg of the Copa del Rey against Celta Vigo. Interestingly, Mourinho will be travelling to Manchester this Sunday to watch Manchester United play against Liverpool.
The transfer season might just be picking up some heat here.
