We are familiar about the fact that the Gunners haven’t ended their transfer pursuit of world class players. They failed landing in some of their primary targets but its 100% confirmed that Arsenal will be back with the backing of their string transfer muscle. Arsenal have been pursuing the German stars frequently in the last few years and Leverkuson star was always on their radar.
Gonzalo Castro, who has impressed the critics so much in the past couple of seasons, is far away from his contract being finished but he has certainly showed some admiration for the Gunners and has denied any reports of playing in the Spanish tier.
He said, “I could envision myself getting to know another culture and language. I would be the fourth German at Arsenal, that wouldn’t be so bad.”
Castro can play as a full-back, but is predominantly a midfielder, able to take on an attacking or defensive role, useful if ever the club did actually move for him – which at present there is no suggestion of, it is Castro himself creating the link.
His market value is around 9m and its all down to Arsene to land such a talent on such a low price.
