Probably the most realistic news of the transfer windows for the Gunners as they are supposedly linked with Sebastian Giovinco who has emerged as a new transfer target for Arsene Wenger. Reports from the Metro has claimed that Wenger is looking to loan Giovinco until the end of the season in order to add more strength to his thin forward line.
The Italian international’s poor run of form has resulted in him being handed just 2 starts in the Juventus lineup this season and Wenger is looking to lure the Italian with the promise of more regular first team football.
Giovinco’s versatility bodes well for Arsenal as the Italian is capable of playing all across the forward line and in behind the striker as a playmaker.
Juventus’ stand on Giovinco is not known yet but the Gunners are likely to get confirmation of their stance very soon as they prepare to formalize their interest in the 26-year old. The forward had a good season last time around for the Bianconeri, scoring 7 goals in 23 Serie-A starts.
The technically gifted Giovinco has also been capped 17 times for the Azzurri and will welcome the prospect of a more regular spot in the Arsenal setup ahead of the World Cup this year.
