Former Arsenal midfielder and a current FC Barcelona player Alex Song is available on loan, The Daily Mail have revealed.
The English newspaper prove the authencity of their news by claiming that Song was the only player on Barca’s bench who remained an unused substitute as the Spanish giants overpowered Leon in a 6-0 endeavour.
Song had a disappointing World Cup campaign with his international side Cameroon Islands and it seems that he is not required at the Catalonian capital anymore since the arrival of Ivan Rakitic from Sevilla.
The player has been informed by FC Barcelona that he is open to a move and the Mail claim that he prefers returning to the Barclays Premier League. The newspaper also report that the Gunners – who had him for six years, could be interested in signing him since his absence has been felt at the club. Song joined Barcelona in 2012 for around £15million.
They also claim that Tottenham Hotspur could rival Arsenal in signing the player along with interest from Galatasaray.
