Ferdinand is not over than why the snub?

Roy Hodgson is giving very  ambiguous statement about the England career of Rio Ferdinand .First he told  that Rio Ferdinand’s  international career is over  and after that he realized that he was sarcastic and apologized from  Rio Ferdinand  and now Roy Hodgson is saying that England’s  door are still open for Rio Ferdinand .He told in the press conference

”I’m definitely not closing the door on Rio.”

Roy Hodgson is not only playing with the career  of Rio Ferdinand  but also not  taking his job seriously .He recently very bizarrely   compared his job with   Chris Tarrant’s TV quiz show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire by saying that managing  England is like playing  ” Who Wants To Be A Millionaire”.

Roy Hodgson said

“I’m very disappointed that my travelling on the tube train and suggesting Rio’s career is over to a passing punter has been recorded as it has.”

“I respect the man and I respect the player. But if I called him it would be to play in the team. Not just to be part of the squad.”

“I am looking forward. Rio didn’t feature in my plans for the Euros and since then the players I’ve used have done well for me and I’m sticking with those players.”

“I’m trying to rejuvenate the squad.I’d like to think that if I’ve called up Shawcross, he has a genuine chance of playing for us.”

Although the retirement of John Terry opened the England doors  for Rio Ferdinand after John Terry’s row with FA and  alleged racial abuse case with Rio’s brother Anton Ferdinand  but Hodgson again snubbed Ferdinand and called the uncapped stoke city captain Ryan  Shawcross .

Ferdinand has not played for England  since the 2-2 draw against Switzerland  at Wembley in June last year.

Although Hodgson accepted the retirement decision  of   John Terry  and said  that

“I regret his decision, of course. He did a great job in the short time I worked with him.”

“It’s a decision that’s irrevocable as far as he’s concerned, so all I can do is wish him well in his Chelsea career. It’s a closed chapter as far as I’m concerned and it’s important to move forward.”

“One of the things I will say is our future has to have a certain amount of vision. There are four steps. It’s like that quiz show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire , you have to put things in order.”

“First of all we have qualifying games. Then we qualify if we’re lucky. Then we go to Brazil. Then we win it.”

“We’re still at point No 1, trying to qualify. We do have a vision and if we do succeed in getting to Brazil, it’s two years further down the line.”

Although the thing  is completely illogical because Roy is giving some confusing statement ,first he said that Ferdinand’s England career is over ,then he apologized  for the rude behavior ,then from nowhere says that he will not close the England doors on Rio .After this whole Gobble DE gook  he again snubs  Rio  in a world cup qualifier against  San Marino and Poland and calls  an uncapped stoke city captain .This whole thing is not making any sense .I don’t know what is going in the mind of Roy Hodgson .Only time will tell.
