Arsenal fans would have been hoping for a signing of Juan Mata’s stature but now their dreams might come true as Arsene Wenger apparently has nodded in favor of landing Juan Mata at the Emirates stadium. Since Jose Mourinho’s arrival, Juan Mata have not been handed over much chances which is strange as Juan Mata has been Chelsea’s best player since last 2 seasons scoring plenty and delivering storm of assists.
The potential signing of Mata could see Santi Cazorla play less of a starring role in Wenger’s side, and having been linked to Atletico Madrid last month, there is a risk of alienating the Spaniard into a move away from London. At 27 years old, Cazorla is approaching the peak of his career and will want to be a fixture in the side, especially with the World Cup next summer.
Many people would argue that midfield creativeness is the least important area where Arsenal needs strengthening, but Juan Mata’s creativity makes him a player what he is today. The Spaniard can play as a left winger too and with Gervinho’s departure Arsenal can manage stroke of the season if they land Mata.
According to Sunday People Sport, Chelsea could guide Juan Mata on a surprise exit route from Stamford Bridge with Jose Mourinho now completing a 30m stellar signing in Willian. Manchester United have been linked with a move, while Spurs are also understood to be watching Mata’s situation. But Arsenal believe they could provide the best option if he wishes to stay in London.
