Radamel Falcao has ruled out any speculation of his potential move away from Atletico Madrid. He intends to honour his contract with Atletico Madrid.
The Colombian striker has scored ten goals in just eight games and he is being linked with Chelsea and Real Madrid.
“I am happy and enjoying myself at my club,” he told a Spanish television show. “I am not thinking about leaving at the moment. I never think about it. That idea is not in my head but we will see what happens in the future.”
Radamel has been nominated for the Ballon d’Or this year along with big names such as Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Iker Casillas, Robin van Persie etc.
“Others are responsible for choosing, I just really appreciate being on the list alongside [Lionel] Messi and [Cristiano] Ronaldo, who are both great players,” he said.
What makes Falcao’s situation more interesting is that he has struck the La Liga with a lightning bolt lessening Messi and Ronaldo’s impact. Now they both have a new competitor for not only the golden boot each month but the kind of game they play as well.
As January approaches, more rumours are to be expected and some offers too that might change Falcao’s mind.. Chelsea seem much interested in him as they now realise that Fernando Torres has not been very successful in filling up Drogba’s boots since he left the club. Chelsea has a good futuristic team with youngsters David Luiz, Oscar, Juan Mata and Eden Hazard.
