Schalke play-maker Draxler has urged Arsene Wenger to come and sign him before the end of the transfer period.
The player expressed his desire to join the North London side and claimed that he had no issues with leaving if Schalke were planning to cash on him.
‘I don’t mind people speculating,’ said Draxler when asked about a possible move to Arsenal.
‘Schalke could say ‘well £30million is not so bad’ and then I can’t do much about it. I would go.
‘If the club wants to sell me, I will not say ‘no I want to stay here’. We will see if anything extraordinary happens on Monday.’
The player had signed a new contract with Schalke at the end of the last season according to which his buy-out clause is £34million and Schalke has no plans of letting him go for less than this.
It may not come as a surprise to you anymore but Wenger is – as usual – putting forward a £25million bid, breaking all previous records of signings.
