Javier Hernandez is sure Manchester United will correct themselves before facing Newcastle United on Sunday.
Hernandez is expecting a tough game but he says the team has been working hard since their defeat to Tottenham. He says their win over CFR Cluj has been morale-boosting.”We have six points in the Champions League and leading the group so we’re doing well,” Chicharito told ManUtd.com.
“Now we need to take back some of the league points that we dropped at Old Trafford. We know it won’t be easy but we’re working very hard to try and not make the same mistakes we made against Tottenham.
“We gained a lot of confidence from the game we played in the Champions League, taking three points against a very difficult team. All the games in Europe are very tough, especially when you go away. So we have the confidence that we can go there to Newcastle and get a good result.”
The match was also very interesting as Sir Alex played Van Persie, Rooney and Chicharito together in a way that they were able to score two decent goals.
“I enjoy playing with all my team-mates. But starting for the first time with both Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney… you can imagine how I felt,” said Chicharito, with a big smile. “It was unbelievable because they are both world-class players.
“We have a lot of really good players in the strikers’ department. We can play with three, sometimes it will be one, that’s the gaffer’s decision. We all have to be ready when the manager picks us.”
Chicharito is considering that Newcastle will be tough opponents especially considering Demba Ba and Pappis Cisse. Pappis Cisse had a cruel impact on United in their Capital One Cup fixture.
“It’s not going to be easy for us because we know they did really well last season and at their home, their performance [against us] was very, very good. But as I said, we’ve worked hard and prepared well for this week’s games, first of all Romania and now Newcastle. We’re looking forward to Sunday,” added Chicha.
Though Anderson and Cleverley had scored two goals against Newcatsle a week back, Chicharito had also scored against them in their draw last November at Old Trafford.
“Yeah I know – but they all count the same!” he laughed, recalling how Steven Taylor’s attempt had failed to stop him from scoring that day.
“The important thing is the goals are coming again for the team this season, and hopefully the three points will come on Sunday as well.”
We hope to see more from Chicharito this weekend as he tries to make his place in the team.
