With players like Karim Benzema and Luis Suarez been linked with Arsenal once again after the Premier League season ended, this news for Arsenal fans might prove to be a little disappointing. Expectations of the Gunners’ fan base were high this time around as Arsenal are rumored to have a strong financial this time around from the board.
But one positive this time is that Arsenal fans won’t have to wait till the last minute of the transfer window for the signing. Sky Sports Radio have reported that QPR’s Loic Remy has agreed personal terms with Arsenal.
No fee was or was added in the report, though speculation elsewhere is talking of a fee of around 10 million pounds for the Frenchman.
Remy is currently involved with France’s World Cup preparations, so should this be further confirmed, any more developments (medical etc.) will probably have to wait until after the tournament.
Remy was seen at the Emirates in the last home game of the season for Arsenal but Arsenal’s boss killed any speculation regarding the potential signing of the Frenchman back then. But looks like Arsenal have one in the bag before the World Cup, which is a good platform to build for the transfer window.
