A report issued by London Police Department saw some unforgivable behavior by the Naples fans who came to see their side play against the inform Gunners. Sadly, the result didn’t turnout be good for the Rafael Benitez’s side and the game saw Arsenal bossing with a 2-0 victory playing some beautiful football.
One man assaulted the window of the Piebury Corner restaurant and smashed it. The brawl started when around 30 Napoli supporters became involved in a verbal exchange with Arsenal fans on their way to the Emirates where the home side won 2-0. However, the manager of the restaurant insisted Arsenal fans had played no part at all in the build-up.
The statement which was issued by the Police said, “The Napoli fans then turned violent, smashing a window and throwing a number of chairs before moving on.”
The witnesses reveal that The Gunners had to duck to cover themselves from the assault while a 47 year old man was taken for the treatment to a nearby hospital with lacerations to his head.
A witness from the scene said, “I was at the restaurant last (Tuesday) night and saw it happen, and I was shocked by it. But, having looked back at the footage, it looks even worse.
“The Arsenal fans were backing away from the trouble, they were trying to get out of the way.”
