Arsenal’s top target Angel Di Maria has clearly told all those who wish to sign him to stay away as the player has no plans of leaving, despite being heavily linked with big names in England throughout the summer.
The big names included Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Real questions over Di Maria’s future were initiated after Gareth Bale completed his sensational move to Real Madrid from Spurs which made him the most expensive player in the world – though Madrid denies it. The arrival of the winger directly affects Di Maria’s playing time and rumours began.
However, the only instability that took place at Madrid following Bale’s transfer was that Mesut Ozil joined Arsenal on the last day of the transfer period in a shocking way.
“I wanted to stay from the start, because being here is the best possible thing that could have happened to me,” Di Maria said.
“It’s true that it was a difficult summer in which a lot was said and many lies were told.
“I am happy because things are going well for me. I am getting game time and I am feeling very confident.”
