The North Londoners are on the verge of making their first signing in the transfer period and that too of a striker! Yes, you read it right, the striker chase at Arsenal might just be coming to an end.
Real Sociedad President Jokin Aperribay has confirmed that Carlos Vela will rejoin Arsenal this summer while speaking on the Spanish radio. If you are not an Arsenal fan, then you might remember Vela as the guy who scored a sensational goal against Sheffield Wednesday.
Vela spent three years at Arsenal from 2008-12, during which he was often loaned out, but he has done well for the Spanish side where he scored 21 goals in 52 appearances while making 13 assists.
Arsenal will not really have trouble signing him sicne they included a buy-back clause to his contract while selling him to Sociedad in 2012. The Gunners will make the Mexican striker their first signing of the transfer period by activating his claude of around £3.5m.
Real Sociedad president told the Spanish radio station ‘Cadena SER’: “Arsenal have informed us that Vela would be with them next season.”
