Arsenal might be linked for either a loan move or a permanent transfer with Alvaro Morata who is yet to be proven on any sort of level but they could be served well if the splash the cash as a prolific, on peak and an in form striker wants to play for them. Jackson Martinez who is nicknamed ‘Cha Cha Cha’ has admitted that he desires to play for the North Londoners. Many credit goes to the way Gunners have turned up this season as they are bossing the league and attracting players like Martinez.
The Colombian striker has a €40 million release clause written into his contract, meaning Arsenal know exactly where they stand. Martinez was playing in Mexico until two summers ago when he clinched a move to Europe, and has not looked back since. He bagged 31 goals in his debut season, quickly filling the shoes of Falcao – and this season he has continued his progress. To date he has 12 goals in 14 La Liga matches, and a further four goals in other competitions. At 27-years-old he is a powerful striker who has the style to be an instant hit in the Premier League.
He said, “I cheered for Arsenal when I was a kid – I love their style of play. It’s flowing and open with a lot of first touch passes. It would be suitable for a player like me. If I get a chance to play for a high level club like Arsenal I wouldn’t hesitate to accept it.”
It seems that Gunners have acted upon hearing this as The Mail last night reported that Gunners have enquired about him. Arsenal shouldn’t make any more delays to land him as this is a Golden opportunity to land a world class striker.
