Arsenal will bid once again for Manchester United target Antoine Griezmann after their initial bid of €14m got rejected according to French reports.
Le 10 Sport claims that Real Sociedad rejected the Gunners’ bid for Griezmann at the start of the transfer period.
The Spanish side value the player at €24m which is €10m more than Arsenal’s original offer, but Arsene Wenger wants to bid for the player one more time.
However, according to Le 10 Sport, the player could be ‘more open’ to a move at the end of the season i.e. they should pursue him in the summer transfer period instead of now.
The player wants to help Sociedad earn a top four spot in the La Liga and he might as well have th World Cup in mind so a mid-season move could dismantle those hopes.
Griezmann told RMC radio recently: “I am relaxed about my future at the moment.
“I have not had talks with other clubs yet. This is something to look at. I want to play for a leading European team and I hope this can help get me a place in the France team.”
The French-born midfielder is wanted by both Arsenal and Manchester United.
