According to ESPN, Arsenal were close to signing Julian Draxler but for some reason the deal seems to be stagnating. Arsene Wenger also hinted that he hopes there is something to make Arsenal fans happy by Friday.
After months of speculation it seems that the deal for the young German star is dragging on which is putting all the Arsenal fans and management in an unsure state whether the transfer will happen or not.
ESPN reported that Arsenal have reportedly made a ‘take it or leave it’ offer for Schalke attacker Julian Draxler. The deal is expected to fall well short of the German international’s buy-out clause — which, in any case, is not active until the summer — but will include a number of add-ons.
While Sky Sports sources understand an Arsenal delegation is in Germany negotiating to sign Julian Draxler from Schalke.
It is thought discussions are ongoing over a fee between the two clubs.
Draxler’s buy-out clause is £37million, but we understand Arsenal are reluctant to pay more than £30million for the Germany international.
