Arsenal are short of attacking options after a heart breaking injury to their flair wingman Theo Walcott who is all set to miss the world cup for England. Despite of Arsene Wenger’s resistance that he won’t be rushed into the January transfer window one cannot deny that these injuries could very well the reason for Arsenal to sign another quality player specially with the cash in hand this time.
And apparently they are certainly doing that as Arsenal have made a €15m offer for Real Sociedad’s attacking winger Antoine Griezmann, according to El Chiriguinto journalist Alfredo Duro. Griezmann, who has scored 12 goals in 16 La Liga appearances this season, has been one of La Real’s most outstanding performers over the last two seasons.
The 22-year-old has been identified by Arsene Wenger as a potential January signing, but it’s believed that the Gunners’ €15m opening offer falls some way short of Real Sociedad’s valuation of the player.
The Spanish side this season finished bottom of their Champions’ League group are demanding in access of €30m for the player. Arsene Wenger is also trying his best to land Spain’s one of the best upcoming talent in Alvaro Morata from Los Blancos.
