Arsene Wenger has been looking for another boost after the terrific position of the team halfway through the season. The Gunners are on course for winning their 4th Premier League title with bossing the league table for quite some time. And if they are to keep that run going they’ll be needing another big signing in goal scoring department.
Since last few weeks, strong rumors have been gaining pace regarding Costa’s switch to Arsenal and his buyout clause information has temped Arsenal even more.
According to The Daily Star, Atletico Madrid sporting director Jose Luis Perez Caminero has released the figure but insists that his star striker will not be leaving during the January transfer period.
He said to Marca, “The player has a clause of €38 million and the big clubs in England know this. He has re-signed a deal that is important. I am confident he will continue with us.”
The Brazilian is one of the most in-form players in the world at the moment after scoring 19 goals in 17 La Liga games, and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will be facing stiff competition from Chelsea who are also looking at the striker.
