Olivier Giroud has been the target for Arsenal fans’ continuous rants and abuse since the last game. He has been criticized heavily for the low work rate and slow speed because of which he doesn’t find himself in time for pouncing on the chances Arsenal’s midfield creates. Hence the need for an attacking power upfront is clearly visible.
Nicklas Bendtner has offered next to nothing this season and while youngster Yaya Sanogo is an exciting prospect he needs more first team experience.
Although, 21 year old Drmic has enjoyed an impressive season for Nuremberg, currently sitting joint 2nd in the scoring charts with 16 goals in the Bundesliga. The young striker has stepped up well from the Swiss Super League to the Bundesliga and is undoubtedly a young player with a lot of talent, who this season has backed that up with the goals to prove it.
Jan Åge Fjørtoft recently on his official Twitter account reported that Drmic will be an Arsenal player. There is every chance Drmic will be on the move this summer and if Lotthar Matthaus is to be believed that move will be to North London and there is every chance the Croatian born Swiss international will be a hit at the Emirates but it will of course be a risk for the Gunners whose fans are likely to want to see a more established figure bolster their attack.
