After the FA Cup win Arsenal’s team and official decided not to celebrate and carried away but they were reported to have spent the remaining day in a transfer mission and get on with the development of the club and the team for the future.

Arsenal were reported to be in a hunt for William Carvalho who has been heavily linked with the current England champions Manchester United. It was widely reported by the news tabloids that Manchester United officals have been continuing to watch every game Carvalho plays in but it seems that the London giants Gunners have stepped into the race.

After Arsenal interest was reported, Carvalho was inevitably dubbed ‘The Next Patrick Vieira’ and it was a story which burned bright and quickly in the English and Portuguese media.
Arsenal had someone in attendance as Sporting beat Gil Vicente 2-0 on Saturday evening. Carvalho yet again had a good match and before the game was awarded his latest player of the month award on the pitch. He only celebrated his 22nd birthday last week but has been the best player in Portugal so far this season and will almost certainly pick up the yearly award this summer.
Along with Arsenal and Manchester United, Real Madrid were present at the game and that follows comments from Carvalho father than he’d prefer to see the player move to Spain than move to England.
