talkSPORT have revealed that Arsenal are all in to sign Benfica striker Rodrigo. The site posted a report last week claiming that Arsene Wenger wants to sign the player to bring in competition for Olivier Grioud and Nicklas Bendtner.

A Portuguese newspaper named O Jogo has even claimed that Arsenal have already contacted the club to discuss a potential move for the Spanish striker.

Zenit St. Petersburg and Valencia are also interest in the striker but talkSPORT ‘believes’ that he would prefer a move to North London instead. Wenger seems to be a big fan of the player and the player will easily adjust to Arsenal’s style of play.

Rodrigo was acquanticed with English football when he came to play at Bolton Wanderers on a loan spell in 2010/11. He has 10 goals to his name this season.

A striker would be good for Arsenal since there is a lot of pressure on Giroud. However, with only two days left in the transfer period, the deal looks like a difficult affair.
