Arsenal have ignited their interest in the Polish forward who has been a lethal force in Bundesliga for quite some time now. Robert Lewandowski has denied any speculation linking him with a future Bayern Munich move as many of the tabloids reported. This has actually interested Arsenal in making a move for him as Lewandowski would be an ideal addition upfront of the lethal midfield Arsenal has.
Although he plans to leave Dortmund when his current deal expires, he has yet to decide his future, today he stated in an interview
“I was a bit shocked after I saw the quotes come out on Tuesday. My only intention was to answer the question about when I would clarify my future. Like I’ve said before, I intend to leave Dortmund, but I can’t say anything else until January.”
No matter Giroud is in great form but Arsenal still need a striker who can guarantee 25 goals a season. With Lewandowski recently denying he has signed a pre-contract agreement with Bayern, Wenger should certainly look at the possibility of bringing in the most in-demand forward in world football next summer. And with Mesut Ozil now at the club, Arsenal could well be a contender for his signature.
