Bayern Munich forward Mario Mandzukic could pack his bags and leave the German giants and the Mirror claim that he could possibly be moving to Arsenal.
The striker was the main forward in the Bayern team that won the treble during the 2012-13 season, but he is not having the time of his life under Pep Guardiola.
Guardiola has often played Mario Gotze or Thomas Muller as strikers instead of the Croatian. To add to his worries, Robert Lewandowski will be joining Bayern in the summer too which means that the striker will be benched in the future.
The striker has scored 12 goals this season from 20 appearances alone, but Bayern’s honorary president Franz Beckenbauer claims that he could leave.
“I see Lewandowski in the attack, his playing style is suited for (Pep) Guardiola’s ideas than that of Manduzkic,” said the Bayern legend.
“There are even more reasons why he could leave – even without him, Guardiola could still count on Thomas Mueller and Mario Goetze in attack.”
The striker was excluded from the Bayern side that beat Borussia Moenchengladbach 2-0 Friday night
