September 29, 2012 Comments Off

Today Barcelona  will collide with Sevilla  in the LA LIGA to strengthen  up their lead at the top of the table .However Barcelona’s coach Tito Vilanova thinks  the match against Sevilla is  a very tough one. Vilanova also admitted that  when he arrived to the first team of Barcelona the  most difficult 15 minutes  of his starting career were away against Sevilla .

Vilanova is well aware with the potential of Sevilla’s team and considers this tie a difficult one .Barcelona will also equal their  best start of season today if they managed to beat Sevilla  at the Sánchez Pizjuán. Villanova now has the chance to equal his legacy  with Pep and  Louis Van Gaal but  Vilanova is not thinking about the glory, instead he is completely focused on the task ahead .He said in the press conference that

”It has never been an easy ground. It was at the Sánchez Pizjuán where I experienced the worst 15 minutes of my managerial career since I arrived at the Club.”

Although Vilanova is well aware  of  Sevilla’s ability of creating jaw dropping opportunities from set pieces .Vilanova told that

”They run different kind of plays and they’re very hard to control.”

Injuries

Villnova  spoke about the Jordi Alba’s  condition   that

“There is no controversy with Jordi Alba. I said that he played whilst on antibiotic medication, he said he didn’t have a fever when he played.”

Although Barcelona will face a tough week ahead with a champions league clash and an El Classico on 7th October  but Vilanova has made it  clear that he will not risk any player who is not fit to play .

Barcelona’s tough task

Barcelona will play 3 huge games in 9 days in all competitions .First they will face a  tough  Sevilla side  toady ,then they will  face Benfica in the champions league  on Tuesday  and at the end of week they will face their bitter rivals Real Madrid in an El Classico .Vilanova is not optimistic on this task ahead and is not concluding  anything before time .He told that

”There’s a lot left in all of the competitions and it’s still too early to come to conclusions. It’s an important week but in the end we’re only talking about three points. It doesn’t do us any good if we win these games and lose other ones.
